THESE JEANS ARE DESIGNED TO HEAT UP AND KEEP YOU WARM

Bolt teamed up with emerging designer Toomas. Samuel Silbaum to create jeans inspired by the car seat warmers, designed to keep you warm during cold commutes.

Made from 100% cotton fabric, with each boasting 21 pockets, the pants are printed with double-layered black thermochromic ink so when the temperature rises above 32°C, the black ink turns transparent, revealing green pockets and the Bolt logo. You can then place heating pads within the multiple pockets available for instant warmth and colour change.

The initiative serves as an alternative for personal cars during the colder months, especially since car ownership can come with additional frustrations, such as unexpected costs and vehicle adaptations to accommodate for the weather. I love how they tapped into using a small designer for the creative execution, we need more of that from established brands
