Cow print, leopard print, snakeskin … this one might be trend of the year.
Apart from it looking good, I been wondering why it’s so hot right now. a lot of people been saying it’s part of the 2000s resurgence but leopard print has been in for time way before the 2000s. It’s been a staple in fashion since the 30s where it was mainly reserved for rich people and monarchs whose it as a symbol of status, power and money. Some decades later from the 60s it was more accessible and had a boom between both the 70s and 80s. Same goes for some of the other prints and it’s now we’re seeing brands get creative with it.
I’m with it because it just adds depth to clothes and customer experience. In a space where it’s difficult to offer something different, focusing on texture and material is always a way to stand out from the pack. I love my cowhide belts from Valuable Studios.
