May be a no brainer but the brands you're seeing on the rise today are the future big fashion houses, so why would you not tap in early while you can? The emerging brands of today are way more authentic, its less people and money involved and the motives and goals of starting their brands is closer to their hearts. Over time, once money starts talking, mainstream brands tend to stray away from what they first stood for and were about. This is the sad case with Supreme, which was once the face of streetwear.
They are more exciting
Linking to the last point, the fact that the emerging brands of today have less access, resources and money means they have to work with what they have, meaning they're forever flowing within creativity. Additionally, the youth of their brand allows them to continually roll out fresh ideas as they still have a lot to explore and develop. This makes for unique ideas and campaigns way more exciting than what some of the mainstream brands of today got going on.
They are wearing the confidence of mainstream brands
Last but not least, emerging brands act and move like they've already made it. This confidence allows them to make moves in the industry that mainstream brands could but won't do. they're a threat to the corporate structures at the top (who are always watching btw) and ultimately, confidence is a fundamental key to any form of success in life.
