Don’t give up, because you never know who’s watching.
I can say this from personal experience. It’s so many people I met and acknowledged or found me when I didn’t know or didn’t even think they’d know about the platform. This goes the other way around too, at this point I discover a new brand every single day, it’s so many brands I’ve come across and people didn’t think I'd be aware of them.
You gotta remember social media is its own world that doesn’t reflect the real world, people can know of your brand without even following, liking. commenting or doing any form of engagement. Your world is bigger than social media.
You could be thinking that you’re not making progress etc but you gotta keep going like someone is watching because that’s the truth with a lot of people coming up, someone could be watching your rise and feel inspired or feel like buying in and engaging . You need the patience and determination to keep going.
I’ve had people with less than 3k followers tell me about who’s posted their page and who’s tapped in. I’ve seen accounts with huge followings engage with ones of smaller ones. A lot of people are more tapped in than you think, especially public figures (@ all the story lurkers)
Even me, I keep up with a lot of brands even when i don’t fully engage via their page but I make an effort to stay tapped in with them. I see every dm, comment and tag. And trust me, the people you’re looking up to also do, don’t let these account sizes fool you.
